After CMI and the Centre of Middle East Studies at the University of Bergen relocated to the resource centre, the two book collections were brought together. As a result, the resource centre houses the largest specialized collections in Norway on development studies and is an oasis of valuable information open to the public.

Focus: Development studies covering for instance economics, political science, anthropology, poverty, peace, conflict and development aid. Regional studies on Africa, Asia, Middle East and Latin America. Our Sudan collection has been augmented with the Mahmoud Salih Collection, and stands as one of the most comprehencive of it's kind in Europe.

Norwegian depository library: The resource centre houses all official World Bank publications (see The World Bank's Development InfoKiosk). The resource centre is also depository library for all publications from the Asian Development Bank.
