Screening of the documentary «The Olympic Dream». Director Anne Kjersti Bjørn and producer Einar Braathen will introduce the film and answer questions after the screening.

In this documentary of 50 minutes we follow one of the most promising Norwegian snowboarders, Isak Ulstein.

First in the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer and then in Rio de Janeiro. In Rio we look at the city's preparations for this year's summer Olympics .

The film sheds a critical light on the magnificent Olympic Park and shady business deals behind it. We also visit a neighborhood that is forced to move because of the Olympics.

The film takes seriously the Olympic vision of promoting peace and understanding between peoples, as well as the slogan of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) - " building a better world through sport".

IOC-member, Gerhard Heiberg is interviewed and the new reform program of IOC, Olympic Agenda 2020, is addressed.

The film is produced by the Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences.

It is funded by the Research Council of Norway as part of the project “Insurgent Citizenship in Brazil – the role of mega sports events” led by research professor Einar Braathen.
